Man in a Cowboy Hat
Hello what little number of readers I may have left >.>
I haven't updated this thing in a long time, so I thought I would do it in random style! So I'm on the bus this morning and I saw a man wearing a cowboy hat. Now, the thing that got me is that last week I also saw I guy downtown who had the whole get up on, complete with spurs. What IS this? An Omen? Should I go out and get a hat of my own?
L.M.A.O. I thought it was hilarious, really.

Happy New Year! + Random...?
HAPPY NEW YEAR~~
I'm still updating this thing...!
No, really, happy holidays and all to everyone. Before I get started, I just want to point out that I don't really care what you guys' new year's resolutions are. I hope that you chose good ones, I hope that you meet them this year, but that's just about it. Nor do I have any to share with you. :P
I had a good year this year, fun and involving and exciting and I got to see how I really felt about some people this year. Some stuff almost turned out as a disaster, but I have to say that I haven't suffered any terrible losses and I'm very glad for that. I got to hang out with my most awesome friends before the new year--you all can clearly see the post about the Shalimar trip below/in the previous entry--and I have to say that I got to see some really good movies and not the ones that I know I wouldn't have liked.
I went to see Sherlock Holmes last week.

I liked it. You should go see it. It wasn't exactly the same as the man from the book series, but they took basic character traits and portrayed them consistently in the film. That's what I like the most about movies: consistency. And because of that, Sherlock Holmes made me very happy.
In other news: I found myself randomly missing someone that I typically don't talk to very much. I mean, it's not as though I neglect him, or he myself, but it was odd that I got up this morning and then, of all people, wondered where he was and what he was doing. Just thought that I would share that.

Happy Holidays + SHALIMAR~
I know I haven't seen you all or posted for a few days. Actually, now that I'm looking at the dates--five. Five days. Like I said before in my intro, blogging is not something I'm used to, so even though I was updated once a day at one point, I fell off. Oh well.
First off, Happy Holidays to you and yours. I hope that you had an awesome time with friends/family/loved ones/etc., and that good fortune follows you into the new year.
Part of the reason why I haven't been updating is because I had to work last week :\ It's a necessary evil, so I try not to complain. I got lots of extra hours and so my next check is going to be awesome. I didn't get any presents so I'm going to spend money on myself. Sounds fun? Yes, because it is.
I went to a Christmas party on Christmas eve, and earlier today, I gave out a bunch of gifts to random people on Gaia that I didn't know, so I felt good about that.
As it is no mystery that I live in Detroit, Michigan--you can see it on my profile if you click on it--I'm announcing that Curtis, the same guy who helped me explain why Mother Russia was so excellent, suggested a great restaurant to visit. It's called Shalimar. Located in Ann Arbor, the food there took our breath away. The service was great too. Very professional and polite. I'm the type of person who likes talking to the waiters and waitresses and joking with them when I go out, but although there wasn't too much of that there it was a good time all the same. An outing is always better when you do it with friends.
Anyway, I had a good time, and I gladly recommend the restaurant if anyone is ever in Michigan.

New Gaia Avatar ^_^
For those of you who know what Gaia is, there's no need to explain.
However, for those of you who don't, I'm going to take this lack of inspiration as an opportunity to fill in the void with my new avatar ^_^
Gaia is an online community where people waste time talking to each other and playing games, with the option to customize cute little avatars that represent their account's activities around the site. Some people like it, some people don't--I'm not going to worry about anyone's opinion on the matter so there.
I simply wanted to show off my new avatar~!

The Princess and the Frog

I went to go see this movie yesterday, and the day before. I thought that it was nice. It was a lovely return for Disney animated studios, who have been caught up with using the latest technology to devote their time toward 3D and claymation creations. I'm not going to say that Disney's other movies were lackluster or bad--in fact, they still held the "Disney spirit" that we're so used to--they just weren't animated, and if you grew up in the eighties or nineties, animation WAS Disney.
Anyway, I had nothing to complain about. Standard Disney storyplot, great art, likeable characters and moving scenes made this a good movie. I wish that I could go on and on and on about it, but the truth is I think that the sign of a great movie is not wanting to say much about it, so that other people can see it. Suffice it to say that The Princess and the Frog was an excellent movie, and I wouldn't mind going to see it two or three more times if enough people wanted to go. I'll definitely be getting this on DVD--from an actual store! Yes!--and paying for what I want to get, while I'm at it.
Go support Disney and go see the movie~!

4chan experiment
Now, I'm not one to go to 4chan for anything, but while discussing the P4 (Pokemon Profile Pic Phenomenon), a friend of mine, Pete, says to me, "Well, if you go on 4chan and post a topic called Alternate Pokemon Pics, you'll get a ton of responses!"
I decided to try this out, just to see.
I got at least 42 responses before the thread 404'd. Hilarious. Someone actually bumped the thread because they thought it was cool. I was laughing my ass off, and I did get some pictures that I wanted.
For those of you who don't know what 4chan is: 4chan
For those of you who don't know what 404'd is: 404
WARNING: Don't do anything the page tells you to, especially on the 404 page. Read it, laugh, and move on.
That is all.
